Summer Time Crocheting

Just had a photo shoot to put up a bunch of new items on my shop. Hope they sell well. Also I get to set up my craft fair display on June 30 at my church, for our ministry partner lunch. Joel and I are moving across the world and it would be a great way to raise money for our adventure and give my girls a bunch of cute creations. Need to make a few baby headbands for the newborns of my friends while I am here in Hawaii.

It's Craft Fair time!

I have been accepted to the Lodi Street Fair on May 5! It's my first really big craft show with hundreds of people. Which means I need lots of inventory! I want to try some new designs, yet I also need to make a lot of stuff quick! It's a tough choice. But I guess I need to make what I enjoy and feel like making. Because then I will be more satisfied with my product and not just creating to sell. It's going to be a doozy of a month- April. My goal is $1000; to be used for stuff we need to purchase before our big move this fall to the Middle East! Prayers are appreciated.

Branching out

Do you have those moments where you don't want to keep making the same thing over and over again, even if it's cute? I do, that's why I am finishing up some of my projects and starting brand new ones. New patterns, new yarns. I want to keep my hobby, my craft and my shop fresh. So when someone wants one of my old things, I can still make it for them but that's not all I will be making. Time to move on to new styles. I really need to get good at slouchy beanies.

I just won!!

So last night I won my first scavenger hunt challenge in my favorite team, the Trendsetting Team. They make fantastic artsy treasuries to promote one another. So this week I get to be the featured shop and the inspiration for a whole bunch of treasuries. This will not only boost my own views but help others on etsy get promoted as well. It's great all around. Plus many of my teammates will experience my crocheted accessories for the first time and hopefully want to make treasuries with them in the future. I am so excited for this unique opportunity to expand my business online. The treasury that I won with featured a jewelry designer from Northern California. She loves the woods and this treasury was a blessing to her because she felt like I was describing her life. So cool!
